Spice... Spice it up

    Sometimes when I walk from my office to the bathroom i walk with my eyes closed.  I think this adds a little spice to my day.  My trek to the bathroom always takes me by The Director of First Impressions desk and I am pretty sure she loves/wonders what im doing when i have my eyes closed while walking.  But this is the reason to do things like this.  To see what type of reaction if any you can get out of people while doing weird or different things in front of them in different enviornments.

Adventure

When adventure calls and is pulling on your insides, when there is a great passion for freedom and fun... you have to jump take that step to realize what new and exciting things await.  But that feeling will fade and reality will sink in.  Money, time, responsibility.  All these things are lifes road blocks that keep us from being nomads. 

    I may have given in to insanity years ago but that doesnt make me crazy, right?  Who really knows especially if I don't.  What would the world and humans be like without the need for money, without the constraints of important responsibility.  I guess to really know you would have to take that step and do it. 

The thought of just doing something like that is very enticing. to be able to have no worries or inabitions and just take a cross country road trip for 3 months.  Or even take it a step further and go off the grid for like 6 months in some secluded place where no one will know where you are or who you are. 

Wait a second I just had a thought.  What if it was mandatory life structure that everyone had to do something like this atleast once in their life and document your travels and what happened.  I will be the first volunteer.

The objective is to drop all your things and your life you have built and be forced into a brand new life completely opposite of wht you were leading.  Find some way to document everything and report back after a certain extended period of time.  Do you think that something like this could work?  I doubt it but the thought is an insane one.

So im really starting to like to wear bowties.  I have a black one and a red one.  This is what I look like at work today. 

Soup De Jour

Greetings,

    I love Musicals.  I haven’t seen a whole lot of them but I love them!  Sound of Music, West Side Story, My Fair Lady, Hairspray, Les Miserables, Dr. Horrible, even High School Musical.  I want to see more because I love Musicals.  I love them so much that while I was scanning like 200 pages of documents today, I started singing random parts of all the musicals I love. I was also secretly hissing at people like an alley cat as I walked by, just loud enough to where they were confused and I was like "what was that, weird huh?"

I love to sing, I love to dance, Musicals make me happy.

One time, this is true by the way, I was eating dinner with my sister and our waiter came up to the table and I told him I love musicals.  I am not afraid to proclaim my love for sporadic song and dance.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could just break out into a musical number throughout your day no matter what you were doing, and have it be OK and applauded and loved it? That would awesome.

Oh and I’m wearing my pin stripe dress pants today and they are a little to short for my legs, kind of look like high water trousers....

Note to Self:

"SELF"... get a new pair of dress pants that fit properly.

Fun Things!

   
    Sometimes at work when I’m walking the halls to and fro, I often give weird random scary and funny faces to the other people as I walk by their office.  I’m not sure how they take it.  sometimes they smile, sometimes they just look at me, sometimes they make sounds of recognition.  I am pretty sure they for the most part think I am a complete weirdo which is OK by me.  Sometimes I do a little dance or walk funny when I am out of my office and patrolling the office space.  I figure this is fun to me and maybe others will think it’s fun and at the very least  I can be fodder for them to gossip about at the water cooler or between each other. 

    Ahhh who knows?... All I know is that I like to do Fun Things.

The Weekend

Elllllllooooooo,

    So this weekend was pretty fun.  Friday night after work I went to my sister's house and we watched like 8 episodes of Firefly while eating a smorgasbord of tasty food.  We had 3 different cheeses and 3 different meats.  We had an assortment of crackers and 2 baguettes accompanied by cinnamon nuts and raspberries.  Some delightful red and white wine respectively, and ice cream for dessert.
  
    While basking in the gloriousness of Firefly, I had an epiphany, a profound idea of sorts.  Why is it every time you watch an epic kind of show or movie you desperately want that type of show or movie to be real life?  Its like all you can think of is how you can make this your reality and live these lives and have these adventures and have that be your existence instead of this one.  Man what I would give to trail blaze through space with Captain Reynolds and the crew of the Serenity, avoiding those gorram reavers and living free, fast and fun!

    Why isn't it socially acceptable to transform yourself and life to replicate those you see in your favorite fantasy world?  One day my friends I will successfully figure out how to go off somewhere with all my close friends and people in the world I hold dear and create this world and life and live happily. Or we'll all just go into the woods and just BE Harry Potter.

    But alas, for now I shall live this life and do what must be done to sustain it and grow.  But there will always be that yearning and longing in the back of my mind to take off into the sunset pursuing an adventurous life full of fun.

    Well that all occurred on Friday.....Saturday I got a haircut, wrote a speech for my communication class, went to the gym, did some Loveless City stuff (Loveless City is my clothing line by the way.  http://www.lovelesscity.com/)  enjoyed the rain and cloudy weather, went to my cousin's house and chilled with friends, played a little poker and went to bed.

Sunday was consumed by football.

Now it is Monday afternoon and I am at work daydreaming of an intergalactic adventure through time and space.
